THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY YOUTH

I grew up in the 1970s and early 1980s in a small town in England. I had a rather unique childhood, in that my dad was American and my mum is English. This blog is for Americans to learn what was going on “across the pond” at that time and for British visitors to take a trip down memory lane. As the blog name suggests, the main focus is on music.

Not all of the songs that appear here are good, however. They just happen to be the songs that were present as I grew up.

 

But many taught me the meaning of the sublime…
